The Johnstone Theatre Group’s aim is to create outstanding, innovative and entertaining performances using original writing, music, technology and theatrical experimentation within local communities.

Share Our History
A Legend in the Making
Founded as Johnstone Operatic and Dramatic Society in 1963, but due to lack of support by 1972 the club reduced and performed concert parties rather than shows to raise funds, gain interest and attract new members. After a lot of dedicated hard work the group managed to 'Rise from the Ashes', hence the new name Johnstone Phoenix Theatre Group.
The Group has been captivating the hearts of audiences locally through its magical productions. As a renowned Performing Arts Group, Johnstone Phoenix Theatre Group have performed a wide range of productions from the get go.
